Ben obtained a BA Hons degree in Theatre and Movement from the renowned Dartington College of Arts in 1987. The next five years were dedicated to developing juggling expertise and honing his performance skills at festivals and street events across the country. During this time Ben worked as a solo act and also as one half of ‘The Flim Flam men’ , making appearances at a variety of events including the Cork Festival, Nottingham Riverside Festival, the Cardiff Show and Winchester Hat Fair. Over the years Ben has also performed in every kind of venue from Dudley zoo to street corners, community centres, theatres, country fairs and a 2,000 seater circus big top.

With a suitcase full of equipment and a steady stream of comic patter Ben uses balls, clubs, hats, tables, axes, hula hoops and a finely-tuned sense of the ridiculous to delight and amaze audiences. His return bookings to the South West’s most popular tourist attractions – including Butlins, Woodlands leisure park, Pennywell Farm and Pecorama – attest to his popularity and professionalism.

In 1996 Ben teamed up with Steve to form Circus Bezercus. Their popularity has gone from strength to strength, and in 2005 they were awarded the Rainbow Award for most innovative act/mime by Clowns International.

Ben has Equity Public Liability Insurance (up to £10 million) and is CRB checked.
